  • Pray for our trip back to the US

My family and I are leaving on early AM Thursday for an 18-hour trip to Atlanta. I used to love traveling until I had kids . My girls are pretty good at entertaining themselves, so they're not the problem. It's the crazy lines, cramped space, and yucky public restrooms that I can't stand. Pray esp for my youngest, Katy, who has eczema. Airplane air really dries her skin, worse than usual.

Pray also for the ministry here in Croatia. Even though we're gone, the work continues. Pray for our colleagues who stay behind. This is the first year we're not here for the youth camp ministry.

Thank you all. I can't wait till the plane lands and we finally get to see friends and family.

  • Look what my wonderful hubby did for me this weekend!

My husband put together a couple of furniture for my little craft corner over the weekend. We did it together and believe me, it was a challenge assembling them in our limited floor space. We bought these a couple of weeks ago from Ikea. They were my Christmas gifts and were on sale! But, we've all been busy lately. I really didn't expect we'd be able to put them together before we leave for the US. But, my dear hubby surprised me when he said he was putting them together yesterday! Well, here is my little crafty corner.

I store items I don't use often in the bottom two shelves, so they usually stay close even when I'm working.

My desk usually doesn't look this neat

These poppies are actually stickers. Aren't they cute?

And look how much I can fit in these drawers? This piece has wheels so I can move it around if I need anything from the two lower shelves. I make close to 400 cards a year from this little spot.

I'm a happy wife and it's a happy life! God is good.

  • Busy week

We've had a pretty busy week with the GA team visiting and ministering alongside us. I will update more in our next prayer letter, but as usual, God blessed their time here with many opportunities to share the Gospel and sharing the love of Christ. The response they received, not only from the students, but also from the school administrators, were very encouraging. We are so thankful for their service and, not to mention the yummy goodies they brought . It was a special treat for me to converse in English with several adults (just to be clear - Kris is NOT boring , but it's nice to have a group of friends here). Pray for spiritual fruit from all their efforts.

On another note...Gracie has had a hard time this week. Almost all her classmates went through their first communion yesterday. It's a big deal because they get lots of gifts and they have parties. In fact, school started 2 hours later today just to accommodate the late party-goers, I guess. Lately, Gracie's friends have ganged up on her, telling her that Mary is God and was sinless. Gracie was shocked that they believe this and really take it hard. She even came home crying one day. Poor girl, even in her youth, she's starting to understand the cost of following Christ. Pray that her heart will continue to soften towards the Gospel.

I'll be teaching a lesson with our women next week, so I'd better finish that. I'm also writing an article for a crafts magazine about the crafting ministry here in Croatia. So, another busy week ahead for us, but it's good kind of busy .
