I've been meaning to post pictures from the Women's Christmas party, but just haven't had the time to upload and crop the pics. I just want to thank you all for praying. The party went very well, with 11 guests, 7 of whom are unbelievers. Gracie and Gaby's teachers even came. They all heard the Gospel clearly taught. Pray for spiritual fruit.
I will be busy in the next week or so, with meals to cook for 3 Christmas dinners this week. Tonight is TBA's Christmas party, then my friend and I will go shopping for the kids on our church. (I haven't even posted about Croatia's first outlet mall and it's only 15 minutes away from us. Yay! But, it's nothing like the American outlet malls, ours is a lot smaller here). On Wednesday, we're having people from our church who have no family nearby over for a Christmas eve dinner. Christmas day, we will be alone as a family, which we haven't been since we moved to Croatia 10 years ago. It'll be a good, relaxing day. Then, we're off to visit some dear friends for the whole weekend and will have our Christmas dinner together on Friday. Kris will be preaching in their church on Sunday.
In the meantime, I hope you will all have a wonderful Christmas. Here's a wonderful hymn written by Martin Luther that reminds us what Christmas is all about. [Copied from Cyberyhymnal.org.]
All praise to Thee, Eternal Lord,
Clothed in a garb of flesh and blood;
Choosing a manger for Thy throne,
While worlds on worlds are Thine alone.Once did the skies before Thee bow;
A virgin’s arms contain Thee now,
While angels, who in Thee rejoice,
Now listen for Thine infant voice.A little Child, Thou art our Guest,
That weary ones in Thee may rest;
Forlorn and lowly is Thy birth;
That we may rise to Heaven from earth.Thou comest in the darksome night
To make us children of the light;
To make us, in the realms divine,
Like Thine own angels round Thee shine.All this for us Thy love hath done;
By this to Thee our love is won;
For this we tune our cheerful lays,
And sing our thanks in ceaseless praise.
